The Old Fashioned Christmas Trail Tour & More
take place on Saturday 12/13/2025!
The event starts at 4:30 PM.  Shirley Street will be closed to traffic from Franklin Street (at the Weis Market parking lot) to Washington Street.  The event itself is primarily on Shirley Street from the intersection of Division Street, to the intersection with N. Depot Street.

The trail starts at the corner park (intersection of Shirley & Division streets, across from the Presbyterian Church).  Children will get their trail card and bags to collect goodies here.  (See the below map for where the trail stops will be.)

After visiting all the trail stops, children may enter their completed trail card in the prize box at the TEEN CENTER (intersection of Shirley & Jefferson streets, across from Choice), where they can also enjoy free cookies and cocoa.

From 5:00 to 7:00 PM, there will be FREE Carriage Rides and a Petting Zoo, provided by the Mount Union Chamber of Commerce.

There will be even more fun along the route, like the Festival of Wreaths and Trees inside the Presbyterian Church (with decoration-lit Festival-By-Night hours from 6:00 to at least 8:00 PM), food and craft vendors, a Live Nativity, Carolers, Photo Stops, and more.  The downtown stores and restaurants will have open hours during the evening, too (precise hours vary - see below).

We expect things to wind down by 9:00 PM, when Shirley street will re-open for vehicle traffic.

(Remember to check the weather and dress accordingly, as this is an evening event, much of which is outdoors.)

(Street parking and lots (such as the Weis Market's) are available outside the area of Shirley, Academia, and Market streets blocked off to vehicular traffic for the event.)
